If you have multiple items to offer we encourage you to send them to us in an Excel file. This makes uploading your material into our system so much easier and faster.
We also encourage you to include prices with your OFFER(s) because having reasonable prices (appreciably below current replacement cost) moves the process along much quicker and priced items are more attractive to buyers and frankly, they are acted on first.
Ultimately, everything we BUY and SELL is negotiated but pricing things appropriately and ready to sell is what we encourage. It allows would be purchasers to accept the quoted price and conclude the sale (subject only to confirming its availability at that moment and making sure the purchaser qualifies from a credit standpoint). Only when the buyer and seller are satisfied, do we complete the deal.
From a procedural standpoint, as soon as we receive your OFFER(s) we will evaluate them as to whether we think they comply with the purpose of "The Metal Exchange". That is, material that is attractively priced and ready to sell. If they are, we will input them into our system, make them immediately available on "The Metal Exchange", and field any interest that comes to us from "The Metal Exchange". We will also do a "Match" to see which of our customers are the best candidates for them, notify those customers through our sales memos, and have our associates follow up with them as quickly as possible.
